About the event

Ginny Slade is the Volunteer and Community Engagement Manager for Sherborne Old Castle, bringing 20 years of experience in the heritage sector, including a decade with English Heritage. In her role, Ginny works closely with specialist colleagues to integrate the latest technologies and scientific tools into site management. This collaborative approach allows English Heritage to effectively safeguard the castle's structural history while simultaneously monitoring and caring for its delicate ecological environment and local biodiversity. She is passionate about leading the volunteer teams who connect the community to both the past and present of this historic landscape.
